The Garden Show in its 13th edition

The Garden Show & Spring Festival, Beirut’s premier open-air event, will celebrate its 13th edition at the Beirut Hippodrome from 24-28 May, 2016

Opening daily from 5pm-11pm, the show takes place under the theme, ‘The Garden of Scents.’ Drawing attention to Arabian jasmine, the 2016 edition will mark the launch of a national campaign for the revival of the scented flower. Speaking about this year’s theme, Myriam Shuman, co-organizer of the event, said, “Arabian jasmine (fell in Arabic) is such a fragrant and symbolic flower and we are thrilled to be collaborating with the Ministry of Agriculture in this important initiative. More than 5,000 Arabian jasmine plants will be distributed at the show.”

As another exciting aspect to the 13th edition, renowned fashion designer Rabih Kayrouz will be presenting an exclusive line of garden aprons.

Over 24,000 visitors are expected during the five-day festival, which boasts more than 225 exhibitors showcasing the latest in gardening, outdoor furniture and design, food and beverage, kids entertainment and spring related activities.

A number of exciting workshops for garden lovers and enthusiasts will take place at the event, adding to the lively outdoor spirit.

In parallel, Travel Lebanon will share the spotlight as the first event supporting tourism in Lebanon. Local tour operators, NGOs and municipalities will promote packages across the country. “For the third year, Travel Lebanon will bring together more than 60 exhibitors offering packages to discover Lebanon off the beaten tourist track," said Joumana Dammous-Salamé, co-organizer of the exhibition and managing director of Hospitality Services.
