News | Tony Ramy’s Take on the Food Scandal

Following the food scandal sparked by Health Minister Wael Abu Faour during a press conference, the restaurant owners syndicate Chairman Tony Ramy stated and stressed on the fact that his main concern is food safety. He considers it a priority in the new program of the Association Council action, and through meetings which began its contract with the union concerned ministers, including Tourism Minister Michel Pharaon , and Minister of economy and Trade.

Ramy adds:  " The whole sector is exposed to slander , especially since the adoption of standards for food safety differs between the Ministry and the Ministry , and between logic and another , and between the mental and the other , and between the principles and the other , especially as the food safety law did not see the light until now , and therefore there is no law that specifies standards imposed for the safety of food , and therefore cannot  know their quality and quality of their products.”  Ramy also confirms that the health of citizens is one of the priorities of the restaurant industry.
